On a very damp Good Friday, All Saints church was buzzing with Easter activity.  In one corner, there were little Easter cakes being made with matchstick crosses and a tantalising aroma of baking.

Elsewhere, a garden was created for Christ’s tomb; some made cardboard collages of the tomb with a moveable stone and Jesus standing nearby; there were keyring crosses to paint and stained glass windows to be fashioned from black silhouettes and tissue paper, along with amazing patterns produced on coffee filters with felt tip pens and water.

We heard the Easter story in a poem, played Kim’s game with objects associated with Christ’s final days, and hunted down Easter eggs.  With 16 children and lots of mums and a dad, it was a fun morning that not even the weather could spoil.
